WHAT INSPIRES THE ART WORKS?
These books inspire the paintings at ABSTRAKTOLOGIE. My love of psychology and my desire to share the lessons in living well form the basis of the art works on the website.
I read the books. I make notes. I ponder.
Then I look for the key learning, the lesson from the research and reading that I want to share. These are the lessons I want to remember for myself and which I want to share with others.
There are tips, techniques and theories on how to live with courage, how to learn and keep learning, how to stay motivated, how to overcome our fears, how to stop limiting ourselves and our lives.
Favourite authors include: Daniel Pink, Dr Steve Peters, Brene Brown, Claudia Hammond, Stephen Covey, James Clear, Carol Dweck, Dr Emma Hepburn, Amy Cuddy, Nancy Kline and Dr Susan David.
These books are my inspiration.
In life and in art.
Think self-help books are a bunch of hoolie?
Here's a beautifully animated 4 minute video from TEDed and the School of Life. Let it explain the value of 'self-help' books and make the case for why you should read them.
