Kate Murphy's book 'You're Not Listening: What You're Missing & Why it Matters' explores the art of listening and the profound impact listening, and the lack of it, has on our lives.

This piece of art focuses on the joy of connecting to people we really listen to. Murphy explains: "Listening is the experience of being experienced. It’s when someone takes an interest in who you are and what you are doing."

The lack of being listened to leads us to feel lonely and isolated. So, this is about taking the time to properly listen to people. It's about putting down the phone and other distrations and paying attention. Because when we listen to each other, we are given the opportunity to connect, build our relationships and transform our lives.
